This is the 15th Pattern Drop for the Fantabulous Scrappy Stars QAL!
Center Block 15
The Courthouse Steps quilt block is named for its visual resemblance to the structural, stepped entryway of a traditional courthouse. As a variation of the Log Cabin block, it is constructed by adding fabric strips (logs) to opposite sides of a center square in pairs, creating a symmetrical, layered "step" effect. This block is perfect for the Fantabulous Scrappy Stars QAL!
The pattern is written traditionally piecing for the 6” and the 4” blocks. However, I am using It’s Sew Emma Courthouse Steps Foundation Paper Piecing Papers, which can be purchased in our shop/website.
