This is the 16th Pattern Drop for the Fantabulous Scrappy Stars QAL!
Center Block 16
The Dresden Plate quilt, popular from the late 1920s, is characterized by wedge-shaped "blades" arranged in a circle, often resembling sunflowers or sunbursts. Inspired by Dresden, Germany’s ornate porcelain plates, it became a staple of Depression-era quilting, allowing women to use scraps, feed sacks, and bright colors to create modern, cheerful designs during economic hardship. This block is perfect for the Fantabulous Scrappy Stars QAL!
